College Advisory Committee

The IRD College Advisory Committee (CAC) is comprised of ten (10) higher education students (undergraduate and graduate) enlisted to provide insight and guidance to the IRD staff regarding how best to serve tribal students in the state of New Mexico. They will advise on professional and community contacts, youth programming, and other general items to create optimum functionality of the IRD Program.

Members benefit from the experience of serving in a professional advisory role, from developing new connections within the Native American community, and from having the opportunity to apply for scholarships to participate in professional conferences or internships that are within the IRD’s fields of focus. Members will receive a letter of service at the end of each served academic year.

To apply, students must submit a letter of interest and resume to IRD at ird@nmsu.edu. This is a rolling application.
